Carl H. Jolley
1932 ~ 2010 Carl H. Jolley died May 7, 2010 in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
Carl was born November 26, 1932 to Homer and Esta Lee
Jolley in Spring
Canyon, Carbon County, Utah.
He grew up there and in Emery, Utah where he
lived until he graduated from South
Emery High
School in 1951. After graduating from high school
Carl found employment at Hill Air Force Base. While working there he met Donna
Wilson, from Centerville, Utah. They were married in the Manti Temple
in July 1953. Carl and Donna had seven sons and were very proud of them. Carl
volunteered for military service and joined the Air Force in 1952 where he
served for four years. He graduated from Brigham Young
University majoring in
Industrial Management in 1960. Carl worked for General Electric, Litton Data
Systems, International Business Machines, and The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints until his retirement in 1996. Carl was an active member of
the Church and served in many callings including Elders Quorum President, High
Priest Group Leader, Young Men's President, and in three Bishoprics. The past
16 years he served with the Pleasant Grove East Stake Presidency as Executive
Secretary, Stake Clerk, and Assistant Stake Clerk. Donna and Carl served four
years as part time missionaries as Member Locators. Carl is survived by his
wife Donna, his brother Phillip (Debbie), his sister Ora
Lee (Sterling)
Waite, his sons Richard (Amy), Douglas (Cathy), Don (Aubree),
David, Chris (Debie), Robert, Nathan (Yamina), and 19 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He
was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert,
and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1250 East 200 South in Pleasant Grove on
Saturday, May 15th at 11:00 a.m. Viewings will be held at Olpin
Mortuary at 494 South 300 East in Pleasant Grove Friday evening from 6:00 p.m.
to 8:00 p.m. and preceding the funeral services from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Graveside services will follow at Bountiful City cemetery that same day at 2:30
