JERRY COOK

Jerry Eldon Cook 1942 ~ 2010 Jerry Eldon Cook, 68, passed away on September 21, 2010 with his family by his side. He was born on January 5, 1942 in Park City, Utah, the son of Clifton and Lela Messersmith Cook. He graduated from Lehi High School and earned an Associate Degree from Utah Technical College. He was a great Mechanic, Electrician and Handyman. He worked for IBM as a Field Engineer. Jerry married his sweetheart Kathrin Sorenson on June 22, 1962 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents of five sons. He served in many callings in the LDS church and especially enjoyed working in the Family History Center and as a Stake Missionary. He was the "Best" grandpa to his grandchildren. Survived by his wife Kathrin, sons; Richard S Cook, Gordon Paul (Julie) Cook, Jed Eldon (Arla) Cook, Josh Von (Jaimi) Cook, all of Lehi, 13 grandchildren, brothers; Clifton LaMar Cook, Lynn (Moose) Cook, Robert L. Cook, sisters; Carol Argyle and Carleen Ford. Preceded in death by his parents and son Todd Jerry Cook. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lehi 2nd Ward Chapel, 465 East 300 North. Family and friends may call Friday evening Sept. 24, 2010 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
